Hearts are set to receive a financial bonus as Aaron Hickey's exit from Bologna nears closer - and Hibs could be set for a fight to keep Josh Doig.
The Scotland international had a sell-on clause inserted into his deal when he made the switch to Serie A from Tynecastle in 2020.
It's set to prove a masterstroke with reports claiming Premier League side Brentford are set to snap him up for a fee in the region of £14 million plus add-ons.
Newly-appointed Bologna sports director Giovanni Sartori said: "As far as the outgoing market is concerned, the two players who will be leaving our club at the moment are Aaron Hickey and Matias Svanberg. Our priority at the moment will be contract renewals because we have a lot of players expiring in 2024 and we absolutely want to be ready. Next season, we want to be challenging for a European place."

Former Hearts left-back Hickey will arrive in London next week to tie up the final parts of his deal. He has impressed during his stint in Italy, making 47 top flight appearances.
His move comes amid reports that Bologna are now looking to go across the city for their next full-back purchase, Hibs' Doig.
The teenager has two full seasons of senior football at Easter Road under his belt and the Italians are now in the market for someone in £3 million-rated Doig's position.
Hapoel Tel Aviv's Israeli international defender Doron Leidner is also under consideration and could be moved for as Hickey's replacement.
