Hearts are still keen to have a look at former Doncaster Rovers defender Joe Wright, despite the centre-back having spent the last 12 months without a club.
A serious ankle and knee injury has disrupted the 27-year-old's career that looked set to grant him a move north after a strong season in England's League one. He made 157 appearances for Doncaster following time at Accrington Stanley and Huddersfield Town, ending his five year stay last summer.
Persistent injury issues have prevented him from returning for a pre-season with Hearts, who are now in Spain for a warm weather training camp ahead of their Premiership campaign starting in July.
He is still recovering from more than a year out with injury and Edinburgh Evening News report that manager Robbie Neilson and his club 'remain interested.' An offer to train with the squad is open once Wright feels fit enough to make his comeback.

As the Jambos won promotion to the Premiership last year - going on to finish third and secure European group stage football until Christmas - the defender agreed terms to sign in maroon.
In his final Doncaster match against Peterborough United, he picked up his bad injury and ended prospects of him moving north.
He's still recuperating from that blow and it isn't clear when he'll be able to pick his career up again, with it initially hoped he'd be fit for some gentle training this month.
