Hearts' Europa League match against FC Zurich at Tynecastle to be shown on BBC

Hearts' huge Europa League return clash with FC Zurich will get the TV treatment this coming Thursday night.

BBC Scotland have once again snapped up the rights as Robbie Neilson's men bid to create a little history at Tynecastle. The capital club welcome the Swiss champions to Gorgie for the second-leg of their play-off showdown. Lawrence Shankland was on target from the spot last week as the Jambos returned from the away clash with a 2-1 defeat.

It has set up a massive night on Thursday, with a sell-out crowd roaring on Hearts as they bid to reach the group stage. They would also secure the huge financial benefits that come with that by competing in Europe's second tier competition. Coverage will begin at 7.45pm with the big match starting at 8pm. Neilson and Co have the added bonus of knowing they are guaranteed group stage football regardless of what happens on Thursday night with the back-up of the Europa Conference League - but they will be going all out to make sure it is in the Europa League. The Hearts boss made seven changes to the side that lost out in Switzerland for Sunday's defeat at champions Celtic.

Craig Gordon missed out completely while the likes of Barrie McKay and Shankland were named on the bench. Craig Halkett was another absentee after he limped off after just seven minutes in last week's first clash with FC Zurich.

Scotland No1 and Hearts skipper Gordon will be fit, with Neilson confirming the only doubt would be defender Halkett.

He said: "Everyone will be ready, the only one potentially that won't make it will be Craig Halkett."

On the performances of the guys who came in for the defeat at Parkhead, he added: "I was pleased with the players that came in.

"We don't have a big squad but we've got real quality and depth.

"I thought he [Ross Stewart] was great. Craig was out today and it gave him the opportunity to come to a big venue and play and I though he handled himself very well."
