A Hearts fan interrupted Italian TV to display her ‘boobs’ tattoo, commemorating their 5-1 Scottish Cup final win over Hibs.
Robbie Neilson's men dumped their city rivals out of this year’s competition at the weekend. Goals from Josh Ginnelly, Lawrence Shankland and Toby Sibbick saw them run out 3-0 victorts at Easter Road and pile the pressure on Lee Johnson. The result extended their unbeaten run in Edinburgh derbies to nine games and booked them a fifth round date away to Hamilton Accies next month. It comes less than a year after they won 2-1 at Hampden last April to once again eliminate their neighbours and reach the final, which they lost 2-0 to Rangers after extra-time.
However, nothing will eclipse the 2012 result for those of a maroon persuasion. Many have gone under the needle to mark the occasion since, and one fan couldn't resist showing off her tat on Italian TV as her Hibs -supporting partner watched on in horror, as did Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, who thought he was about to be involved in an x-rated broadcast.
When the couple gatecrashed his piece to camera, he asked: “Where are you from?”
One half of the travelling couple, Natasha, said: “Edimburgo, Scotia.”
Palmeri: “Ah, Heart of Midlothian!”
Natasha then cheers and embraces Palmeri, who asks if her travelling companion is a Hibs fans. He then attempts to talk to Natasha about her stilettos, but she’s only interested in reminding Hibees fans of the 2012 drubbing they suffered at Hampden, and revealed a tattoo on her chest that had the Italian journo worried given its location.
Natasha: “Do you know Heart of Midlothian?”
Boyfriend: “No, no, no.,,”
Palmeri: “Yes, of course.”
She then shows her ink to the camera before doing the now famous 5-1 hand gesture to the camera. Palmeri then explains his alarm after she comes perilously close to a wardrobe malfunction, before adding: “I totally understand. My boobs are real!”
To which her boyfriend responds: “Oi, behave!”
