Kamson-Kamara arrives after an impressive loan spell with Glentoran, where he made 30 appearances, scored four goals and was shortlisted for the Northern Irish Premiership’s young player of the year award.
Announcing the deal, Hearts said: “Heart of Midlothian is delighted to announce the pre-contract signing of MJ Kamson-Kamara.
“The highly rated English centre half will join the Jambos on July 1st following the expiration of his contract at newly promoted EFL Championship side Lincoln City.
“20-year-old MJ will link up with his new teammates for pre-season after agreeing a deal until 2030 at Tynecastle Park.”
The English defender began his career at Bromley before signing professionally with Lincoln in 2023, going on to gain senior experience through loan spells at Barwell, Peterborough Sports and most recently Glentoran.

Hearts added: “A tall and agile defender, MJ spent his formative years at Bromley before signing his first professional contract with Lincoln City in 2023.
“Last season saw MJ enjoy a successful loan at NIFL Premiership side Glentoran. With 30 appearances and four goals, he helped The Glens to a third-place finish… and a spot in the UEFA Conference League first qualifying round.”
Kamson-Kamara’s arrival comes at the start of what is expected to be a busy summer in Gorgie, as Hearts prepare for a return to European competition and reshape their squad.
The club confirmed the signing just a day after Lawrence Shankland’s move to Rangers, while several first-team players, including Frankie Kent and Beni Baningime, are also set to depart at the end of their contracts.
Hearts concluded: “MJ will now head to Gorgie to continue his exciting development as the Jambos gear up for an eagerly anticipated season 2026/27.”
