Steven Naismith has been named Hearts' technical director as the former Scotland international's lack of a UEFA Pro Licence means he cannot be appointed as manager.
Having taken charge of the Jambos in the wake of Robbie Neilson's sacking, Naismith led the side as interim boss to a fourth-placed finish in the Premiership, securing a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifiers.
The 36-year-old will be supported by Frankie McAvoy - who has been named as head coach - and Gordon Forrest, who he worked alongside until the end of last season with the trio signing deals until 2025.
