A woman whose little sister was killed after a night out in Cardiff when she was involved in a car crash with a drug driver says she “feels empty”.
Eve Smith was one of five childhood friends who went missing last Saturday, with their crashed car found two days later.
Police launched an investigation into the incident which killed Eve, 21, Darcy Ross, 21, and Rafel Jeanne, 24, whose dad Leon played as a winger for QPR and Cardiff City.
They are thought to have made the trip in a Volkswagen Tiguan to Cardiff from Porthcawl, along with Sophie Russon, 20, and Shane Loughlin, 32, who were named unofficially as the two injured.
The tragedy came eight years after Eve’s sister Xana Doyle was killed in a car crash by a driver who was drunk, and high on cocaine and cannabis.
In a tribute, heartbroken Sherridan Borg said: “Eve, My beautiful little sister I've cried laughed and fought with you every week, but I've never been without you.
“We always said, 'I got you always', but now I'm sat here feeling so empty because you're not here with me any more, and I can't accept this.
“There is no sister like you, you always made me feel so important, sending me messages to remind me how much you love me and I'd tell you just how much I loved you more!
“You saved me from so much Eve all the times I've been low it was you that I'd turn to, and now I'm feeling heavy because I couldn't save you.
“I loved seeing you grow into this beautiful young woman and you used to get so worried that we wouldn't be close as you grew up, but I'd remind you that sisters don't ever break a bond and ours well there isn't, no bond like ours my girl you'll always be my baby sister.
“I know you're safe up there with our beautiful sister Xana but I was never ready to let you go, my body is aching without you, please watch over me. I love you forever and always”
Eve had previously appeared on a Sky reality TV show when Xana was killed by a drug driver.
Xana was killed in the horror smash in January 2015, when a Toyota Avensis flipped over and landed on its roof in Newport.
The driver was more than twice over the drink drive limit and had taken class A and B drugs before the collision.
Xana, 19, a student at Duffryn High School, suffered a “blunt head injury” and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Eve had written on Facebook after the tragedy: “I love you Xana Doyle you were the best big sister ever by far and this is why it's going to be so hard to say goodbye."
"Still just feels like I'm sleeping having a really bad nightmare."
South Wales Police said earlier today: “South Wales Police can confirm that at 00.15am this morning, Monday 6th March, we were called to a report of a car being located off the A48 in the St Mellons area of Cardiff.
“South Wales Police is carrying out an investigation into the road traffic collision to establish what happened.
“We would like to thank the public for their patience and their cooperation whilst the road is closed. Our thoughts are with those affected by this incident.”
