The heartbroken family of a young girl who died of Strep A have paid tribute to the youngster after she passed away in hospital. The devastated father of Stella-Lily McCorkindale has taken to social media to thank people for their support after the Belfast five-year-old died.
The youngster was in year two at Black Mountain Primary School, who described Stella-Lily's death as a “tragic loss”. Her heartbroken dad Robert has spoken out on social media to say thank you to all those who have shared well-wishes for his family after the child's death.
He said he did not "have the strength" to record a video, the Mirror reports, but wanted to "thank every one of you from the bottom of my heart". "If prays, thoughts, feelings and love could of worked she would of walked out of that hospital holding her daddy's hand," he said.
