Ellen DeGeneres has paid an emotional tribute to Stephen 'tWitch' Boss following reports he has died at the age of 40.
The DJ, who became known for his appearances on the Ellen Show, has died from suicide, it has been reported.
Talk show host Ellen was left devastated after discovering the tragic news and took to Instagram to pay her respects to her dear friend.
Ellen posted a photo of herself and tWitch hugging on her Instagram page and expressed her sadness in the caption.
She wrote: "I'm heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him.
"Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children - Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia."
Stephen started DJing on Ellen's show in 2014, and remained with the show until it ended earlier this year.
Ellen made Stephen an executive producer on the show in 2020.
It was reported Stephen's wife Allison Holker ran into an LAPD station on Tuesday after she was left deeply concerned he had left home without his car, which was unlike him, a law enforcement source told TMZ.
A short time later, it has been reported that the police received a call for a shooting at an LA hotel, where Stephen was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Tributes have been pouring in from across the showbiz world, with singer Tamar Braxton commenting on Allison's latest Instagram post: "Sisssssssster my heart is broken. I’m sooooo sorry."
Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen added: "Praying for your family."
"Heartbreaking I am so sorry for your loss. Sending love and light to your beautiful family," penned Kyle Richards.
Stephen's So You Think You Can Dance co-star Rudy Abreu wrote: "My heart is broken right now finding out this news… I am so sorry and I love you.."
Stephen leaves behind his three children — Weslie, 14, Maddox, six, and Zaia, three — and his wife, who he married in 2013.
Stephen and Allison celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary just three days ago.
Paying tribute to her husband, Allison took to Instagram to share a video from their special day. Alongside it, she wrote: "It’s our 9th anniversary!! I couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate this perfect magical day!!!
"Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!!"
Allison added: "I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU."
