Standing out in a room packed with hopeful rescue dogs can be challenging - especially when you're 'average-looking'.
Poor Rocky has spent a year being overlooked at the Humane Society for Hamilton County - and has been forced to watch on as other dogs leave with their new owners.
The Indiana shelter has shared a heartbreaking video showing what Rocky sees everyday as people pass by his kennel without giving him a second glance.
A spokeswoman said: "Rocky has been waiting for his forever home for a year and doesn’t understand why he’s still here.

"His hopes are still high that his perfect home is out there and he is on a mission to find them.
"We wanted to let everyone know that Rocky is looking for a home with people over the age of 16 and to be the only pet in the home."
Since his tear-jerking video, the six-year-old dog has been placed with a foster family.
But, Stacy Zehringer, assistant to the president, told The Mirror : "This doesn't mean he has found his forever home quite yet, but he is in a promising situation."
The terrier pit bull cross has been described as an affectional, loyal and easy-going dog, who loves playing outside and cuddling up with humans.
The spokeswoman added: "Are you interested in adopting Rocky?
"His long term foster family has made a donation towards continuing training for Rocky so he can continue to be the best boy!
"Please fill out an adoption application at Hamiltonhumane.com/adopt.
"If you cannot adopt Rocky, please consider donating to help Rocky and other pit bulls in our care."
