Heartbreaking tributes have poured in for a paramedic and father who died following a horror smash on New Year's Day.
The 31-year-old, named locally as Ben, is believed to have worked as a paramedic for the North West Ambulance Service and was off-duty at the time of the crash.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash in Rainford in Merseyside on Sunday (January 1) but the driver of a Nissan Almera was pronounced dead at the scene.
