A memorial book with photos of two innocent children who were murdered by their own father after he strangled their mum has been released.
Little Jeeva Saju who was just six years old and sister Janvi Saju, four, were drugged by their dad to make them sleep while he killed their mum, NHS nurse Anju.
The children were then strangled more than four hours later in a horrific killing at their family home in Kettering, Northants last December.
Prosecutor James Newton-Price KC had told the sentencing hearing an audio recording from that evening captured the sound of a blender being used to make the “toxic” mixture their dad would later give them.
The clip also recorded what prosecutors say was the ‘mummy’ along with the defendant whispering, before coughing sounds.
“We suspect that that may be the moment of strangulation (of Ms Asok) but we can’t say that with absolute certainty," the court heard.
Today, as their father was jailed for life for three counts of murder, and told he will serve a minimum term of 40 years, a book of photos and memories of the children's time at school has been shown.
Heartbreaking images of Janvi's first day at Kettering Park Infant Academy, looking smart in her uniform and smiling for the camera fill one page, with the simple words "Janvi loved school".
She even wore a nurses uniform, just like her mum who worked at Kettering General, on the school's 'Real Life Heroes Day'.
On a page dedicated to six year old Jeeva, it showed that he also 'loved school' just like his baby sister.
Pictures show the happy child reading a book, using colours in an art class and getting his hands dirty as they plants seeds in another.
Teachers also left messages saying how happy the children were, saying they were heartbroken by the sudden loss of both of them.
Two mentioned little Jeeva's beautiful big smile that greeted them and another said they had "so many good memories to remember you always".
