Bao House lovers will have one final chance to get their hands on their favourite bao buns today, as the venue has announced it will shut its doors tomorrow.
After being an Aungier Street fixture since 2018, the Taiwanese restaurant will close their doors for the last time. They announced the sad news on their official Instagram page adding hashtag cost of living crisis which clearly played a part in their decision.
The restaurant management wrote on Monday: "Thanks for everyone’s support all these years. Bao House will close for good from February 23, 2023 (Thursday). If you still want a bite of best Bao Bun in the town, you still have last two days."

Bao House was famous not only for its delicious bao buns but also its gyozas and ramen. Fans of the place hurried to share how unhappy they were with the news, saying that they had "by far the best bao in Dublin" and that it was a shame they were closing.
One even went on to say: "Such a heartbreak. I was planning to come to Dublin again later this year and indulge again in your fantastic food, but reading this makes it less exciting. That just sucks. Wishing you all the best, hopefully there will be another way for you someday."
Thankfully, there are other places for bao buns in Dublin City Centre but Bao House will definitely be missed.
