An inquest has opened into a 21-year-old man from Beeston who died at his home. Joshua Anderson was identified by his mother Jenny Anderson following his death on November 1 last year, the inquest at Nottingham's Council House heard.
The hearing on Friday, April 1, has been adjourned for the completion of further inquiries, with it to resume on a date to be fixed. Ms Gingell said: "I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Joshua in relation to this sad loss." The inquest continues.
Ms Gingell opened a number of inquests on Friday. The death of a baby who died just 4-days-old at Nottingham City Hospital will be examined.

An inquest was opened into the death of Jan Slepcik, who died on February 10 aged 71 at the Queen's Medical Centre (QMC). He was identified by a Nottinghamshire Police officer at HMP Nottingham, which Ms Gingell accepted as confirmation.
A post-mortem revealed his provisional cause of death was metastatic colonic carcinoma (colon cancer that spread to other organs) and ischemic heart disease and diabetes. Ms Gingell offered her condolences. The inquest continues.
An inquest was opened into the death of Sarah Pryor, who died aged 35 at Idle Valley Nature Reserve in Retford on January 1 2022 aged 35. She was identified by a fingerprint expert with a supporting statement provided, which was accepted by Ms Gingell as evidence of her identification.

An inquest was also opened into the death of David Mitchell, who died aged 59 on April 10, 2021 at Nottingham City Hospital. He was identified by a doctor at the hospital who had been treating him and saw him after his death.
A post-mortem revealed his provisional cause of death was intracerebral haemorrhage (bleeding on the brain), cerebral vasculitis (a rare cause of juvenile stroke), colorectal adenocarcinoma (a type of colorectal cancer) and peripheral disease thrombocytopenia (a vascular disease with a deficiency of platelets in the blood). The final hearing will be on June 22, and Ms Gingell offered her condolences. The inquest continues.
