A family with young children have been left with no home after house explosion in the West Country. A mum has suffered life-changing injuries that will need at least nine months recovery.
The community is now rallying around after the 'explosion' in Gloucester to help the family who have lost everything. Four people were trapped inside their third-floor flat in Matson when the fire broke out on Saturday (June 17), reports Gloucestershire Live.
A GoFundMe appeal has been launched by a family friend, Rachel Marshall, after the incident at Chatcombe House in Penhill Road. The air ambulance is understood to have attended the incident which happened at around 5pm. The four people inside the building were all taken to hospital for treatment. The fire is being treated as accidental.

The GoFundMe appeal set up by Rachel reads: "I am a close family friend I have set up this page to help the family with any costs they have incurred following a explosion in their home. There are two children who now have no home and no clothes or toys, parents who have lost all memories of items that were in the property.
"Mum is currently in hospital receiving treatment for life changing injuries that will have a nine month or more recovery. Anything no matter how small will help this family gett back on their feet and start creating new happy memories.

A fire service spokesperson said: "We were called around 5pm to a fire at a residential property at Chatcombe House on Penhill Road, Gloucester. Four people were trapped inside the property (a top floor flat, on the third floor) at the time we were called.
"We sent three appliances - one from Gloucester, one from Cheltenham and an officer. We used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus. All four people were taken to hospital for treatment. We left the site around 7.15pm. The fire is being treated as accidental."
