A much-loved chef who "lived life to the full" died of an epileptic seizure while at work.
Paul Leech was a popular member of the team at the Guelder Rose Pub, next to Southport pier, where he had worked for the past seven years. The chef, who had lived with epilepsy his whole life, died of a fatal epileptic seizure and cardiac arrest while at work.
Tributes have flooded in for the 51-year-old, described as a "lovely man who was popular with everyone." Guelder Rose manager Clare Rankin called Paul a "kind, caring person who had a heart of gold and lots of friends".
