Noel Sullivan rose to fame more than two decades ago as a member of pop group Hear'Say, who enjoyed success before disbanding less than two years after forming.
The group – which also consisted of Myleene Klass, now 44, Suzanne Shaw, now 41, Kym Marsh, now 46, and Danny Foster, now 43 – formed on ITV show Popstars in 2001.
Their debut single Pure and Simple topped the UK Singles Chart upon its release that year. Their subsequent debut album, Popstars, achieved similar success in the charts.
After parting ways the following year, the members have pursued individual careers. Noel, now 41, has remained in the public eye like some of his former bandmates.
Career
Since the group disbanded, Noel has continued to perform, having worked in musical theatre. He's had lead roles in West End productions of Grease and School of Rock.
He's been in touring productions of shows like We Will Rock You and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. This year he starred in a production of But I'm a Cheerleader: The Musical.
Noel has performed in theatre productions internationally over the course of his career since Hear'Say disbanded. This has included him starring in show in Jersey and Las Vegas.
Although he's ventured away from a music career, Noel released his debut album, Here I Go Again, in 2014. It featured covers of songs like Queen 's I Want to Break Free.
Noel has pursued roles in on-screen projects, too. He had a supporting role in the second series of Ordinary Lies and he even made an appearance in Gavin & Stacey once.
More recently, he was in drama miniseries Years and Years. He appeared in an episode of Call the Midwife last year and played a nurse on daytime soap Doctors in a recent episode.
Marriage
Noel is married to choreographer James Bennett. He had announced their nuptials to his followers on Instagram in 2017 and described his spouse as his "beautiful husband".
The couple are currently in the process of renovating a 16th century property that is located in France. They bought the home back in 2020 and have been working on it since then.

They have been sharing updates about the project through a dedicated home renovation account on Instagram. They recently showed off one of the spare bedrooms.
Outside of the renovation, James is a choreographer and creative director. He's worked on shows like Strictly Come Dancing and Britain's Got Talent in his career.
He has worked with Strictly alum Oti Mabuse, 32, on various projects. This has included them working together on her I Am Here tour and a routine for Dancing on Ice.
They also worked together on The Greatest Dancer. The pair assisted contestant Jowita Przystał, 28 – now a dancer on Strictly herself – who won with Michael Danilczuk, 30.
Celeb pals
It isn't just professional dancers that are in the same circles as Noel and his husband. The singer has a few celebrity pals himself, including a former finalist from Strictly.
He's friends with Steps member Faye Tozer, 47, and her husband Mick Smith. The couple visited Noel and James at the home they are renovating in France earlier this year.
Alongside photos from the visit, Noel wrote at the time: "So amazing having my darlings [Faye and Mick] over to visit. [...] First friends to visit and it's changed the game".
He has also remained close with his former bandmate Suzanne. They have reunited on numerous occasions over the years, including on trips to the theatre together.
