NEW DELHI: A survey conducted by Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) shows only about 34% of the people in Delhi have received hepatitis B vaccination. Not just that, awareness about hepatitis, which claims more lives than HIV, malaria and dengue combined, remains low.

Hepatitis is caused by five main hepatitis viruses, types A, B, C, D and E, of which B and C have the most serious consequences.
