Pennsylvania (US): The 150 minutes of moderate to severe aerobic activity per week can dramatically reduce liver fat as suggested by the US Department of Health and Human Services. Meta-analysis by a team of Penn State College of Medicine of 14 previous studies confirms that exercise leads to clinically meaningful reductions in liver fat for patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. While prior research suggested that physical activity was beneficial, it had not determined the specific amount of exercise needed to make clinically meaningful improvement.
