Liverpool have been told that they would be wise to sign a Bundesliga player tipped to be a “Sadio Mane successor”.
The Reds have been linked with a host of forwards over the past couple of years, with varying rumours over whether or not Jurgen Klopp will strengthen his options up front.
One of the most recent players listed as a potential target is Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz.
Reports in recent months have claimed that Liverpool could be an option for the talented 18-year-old, who has impressed in the Bundesliga.

Wirtz, who typically plays either as a No.10 or on the right wing, has scored eight goals and provided 12 assists this season.
In an article in Sport Bild, Liverpool are named as one of the clubs supposedly interested in signing Wirtz this summer or in the future.
It has also been claimed that were Wirtz to leave Leverkusen in the near future, the German outfit would demand a fee in excess of €100million (£83m).
Now the director of fellow Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, Karl Heinz Korbel, has listed Liverpool as a favoured destination for Wirtz.
“A player like Wirtz needs an environment in which he feels comfortable in order to develop,” Korbel is quoted telling Sport Bild, via Sport Witness .
“If he leaves in 2023 or 2024, he can choose the club: Barcelona, Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool. I think he would do well with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. As the successor to Sadio Mane.”
