'He's on a roll' Driverless Scots bakery van rolls down bus lane and crashes into sign

A video of a driverless bakery van rolling down a bus lane and crashing into a sign has been viewed over 80,000 with social media users joking "he's on a roll".

The footage, captured on Aberdeen's Union Street around 9.45am on Tuesday, shows a JG Ross van slowly rolling down the road.

With the driver nowhere to be seen, the vehicle continues moving past Greggs before it crashes into a bus lane sign stating "no unauthorised vehicles".

It is understood the employee was making a delivery to the Tesco store on the street as the incident unfolded outside.

The video has racked up hundreds of likes and shares after being posted on Facebook with the caption "the things you see waiting for your bus."

Many users were quick to make light of the situation.

Ian McBain said: "Poor guy could well end up on the BREADLINE if he gets sacked."

Martin Taylor wrote: "I'd say it's definitely 50/50 for keeping his job, he must feel sick right now but if it all ends well I'm sure he will be able to eat a WHOLEMEAL tonight"

Neil Chalmers added: "He's on a roll."
