The owner of a 110-year-old chipper has hailed Bruce Springsteen as a "genuinely nice guy" after he visited the iconic Dublin institution.
The Boss visited Leo Burdock in Christchurch this afternoon to sample some of the capital's best fish and chips. Bruce, who is playing the RDS, has become a "regular", according to Leo Burdock owner Charlie McGrachan who took a photo of the American legend with his staff.
A delighted Charlie told Dublin Live: "When he comes to town, over the last 10 or 12 times, we’ve managed to get him in. He’s become a regular.

"He’s such a nice guy. He’s great with any of the regular staff.
"He has no problem letting people take photos of him. Just genuine. Real nice person."
When asked what Bruce ordered, Charlie said his favourite dish is usually the lemon sole and the chips. He added: "The band normally have the famous fresh cod and chips."
Bruce even gave a shoutout to the famous chipper when Charlie and his wife attended one of his gigs five years ago. He added: "He’s quite fond of us."
Charlie said Bruce was in a good mood and was "all about Dublin". He laughed: "He said to us, ‘You were supposed to have rain’ so he had a cap on waiting for the rain."
Speaking proudly of his chipper, he said: "Burdock at Christchurch will be 110 years old this year. It’s famous among the locals and a lot of people hold the shop quite dear because it’s such an old icon.
"Dubs like it. Everybody is welcome. Stars can come and they’re treated no different than anybody else. That’s what they like."
