Dapo Afolayan says he has always thought team-mate George Thomason was a 'talent' and believes his recent successes have confirmed what he already knew.
Thomason has starred for Wanderers of late in central midfield. He has started the club's last three games in League One.
Having been named in the starting XI by Ian Evatt, the midfielder took his chance against Charlton Athletic. He produced a fantastic display which saw him keep his place for the subsequent clashes against MK Dons and Peterborough United.

All three games have ended in victories for Bolton as they climb up the League One table and find themselves in the top six as things stand. Thomason has made a big contribution to that, with Evatt saying it has become 'impossible' at the moment for him to leave the midfielder out in what is an incredibly competitive area of the Wanderers squad.
Attacker Afolayan has been Thomason's team-mate since he first arrived at Wanderers, initially on loan, in January 2021. Last season's top scorer is in no doubt of the quality the youngster has always possessed despite not getting regular game time from the start until recently.
Afolayan said: “Thommo has done well. I always thought he was a really good player.
“He has days where he is pivotal and when we got promoted he played a lot of games and I thought he did really well.
“Last season he didn’t play as much because it was a step up but I always thought he was capable and he is showing everyone now what I already knew, he is a talent.”
