'He didn't overthink!' - Man City fans agree with Pep Guardiola's line-up tweak vs Inter

Manchester City supporters are not worried about the defensive changes made by Pep Guardiola ahead of the Champions League final versus Inter after Manu Akanji was named at right-back ahead of Kyle Walker, who begins the the match on the bench.

Walker was a doubt for the game and, despite taking part in training on Friday, does not make the starting XI with Akanji starting at right-back for the fourth time this season having won the past three in that position, conceding just once.

Nathan Ake comes in at left-back while John Stones partners Ruben Dias in the centre to complete the back four. City fans are about to watch their team in Europe's showpiece event for the second time having fallen short in 2021, but this time with the treble on the line.

Guardiola was accused of over-thinking in the defeat by Chelsea two years ago but has mainly gone with a team that many supporters would have predicted. After sitting out the FA Cup final win last weekend, Ederson comes back in between the sticks.

Guardiola ditched the pivot position against Chelsea but has ensured Rodri starts this time around. The midfield undroppables in Kevin De Bruyne and club captain Ilkay Gundogan complete the middle three.

Like Gundogan, it is not known whether this will be Bernardo Silva's final game in a City shirt, but he begins on the right flank with Jack Grealish on the left.

Striker Erling Haaland will look to net his 53rd goal in his 53rd game of the season. However, it is the other end of the pitch that has City fans talking. Some took to Twitter to react to Guardiola's decision.
