HDFC Bank shares tumble nearly 5%; mcap down Rs 38,541.51 crore

NEW DELHI: Shares of HDFC Bank on Monday fell nearly 5 per cent even after the leading private sector lender reported a 23 per cent jump in standalone net profit for the March quarter.

The stock declined 4.74 per cent to settle at Rs 1,395.35 apiece on the BSE. During the day, it tumbled 5.10 per cent to Rs 1,390.10.
