HC grants 'in custody parole' to former Punjab CM Beant Singh's assasin Jagtar Singh Tara to attend niece’s marriage

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana high court on Wednesday granted "in custody parole" to Jagtar Singh Tara, who is a convict in the former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh’s assassination case, to attend the marriage of his niece on December 13.

He has been permitted to attend the function from 11 am to 1 pm at Gurudwara, Mughal Majri, Ropar. The Chandigarh as well as Punjab police has been directed to make security arrangements in this regard.
