The Commonwealth Games has kicked off in Birmingham - you can read all the venues being used here - with a great opening ceremony. Airing on BBC One the Commonwealth Games will be hosted by different sporting presenters, including Clare Balding, Holly Hamilton, and JJ Chalmers.
Also in the presenting line-up is Hazel Irvine, a well-known sports presenter who has presented the winter and summer Olympics for 15 years, golf coverage for 25 years, and Ski Sunday for over a decade.
The 57-year-old from Scotland keeps her personal life very private and very little is known about her life away from presenting. Hazel has not revealed who she is married to, with her husband kept totally off-screen, but it is known that she married him in a small private ceremony.

The couple married in 2008, after many years together, in a secret ceremony in Scotland with just close family and friends. At the time of her wedding Hazel confirmed that she and her partner were "very happy", as the Daily Express reports.
She shared a statement that said: "I can confirm that she married her long-term partner a few months ago. It was a small and very private affair, and she and her husband are very happy. She wants to keep all the details private."
A year later in 2009 Hazel and her partner had a daughter, which she announced at a charity sports quiz in London. She told the audience she had her "own credit crunch looming".
She said: "My clothes are already feeling the squeeze. My husband and I have a new arrival coming in the spring - which is going to be a drain on my own profits."
The star had a happy childhood, she told The Daily Mail in 2019 that she "spent her pocket money on stickers for and Olympic sticker book". She said: “I had a very happy childhood doing sport and outdoor stuff. My dad, Bill, made this half-size snooker table for my brother and me as kids, and Mum crocheted the pockets!”
Hazel graduated from University after studying the History of Art but remained interested in sports during University. She played netball, and golf and was on the athletics team.
