NEW DELHI: In a dominant display, Australia's women's soccer team secured a resounding 4-0 victory over Canada in Melbourne, advancing to the last 16 of the Women's World Cup.

The defeat meant that the Olympic champions, Canada, were eliminated from the tournament at the group stage, which was the first time it happened to them since 2011.
