New Cincinnati Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst is making a believer of onlookers quickly at training camp.
We’re only three practices in as of this writing, yet Hurst has had multiple big highlight plays and he’s also getting attention from fans and reporters alike.
Take The MMQB’s Albert Breer, who visited Bengals camp and wrote the following about Hurst: “Hayden Hurst looks like he’ll bring the offense an element it hasn’t had, w/his athleticism, route-running. Good matchup guy to have alongside the WRs.”
Maybe it shouldn’t be a surprise Hurst is having a great showing so far. The defense has to worry about all three of the major weapons at wideout and Hurst, a former first-round pick, never really had a chance to shine in places like Baltimore and Atlanta.
Jeremy Rauch of Fox 19 caught one of Hurst’s bigger highlights already:
Impressive catch by Hayden Hurst today at camp.

If Hurst already clicks like this against a Super Bowl defense while working with Brandon Allen, it should be pretty interesting to see how he meshes with Joe Burrow soon.
