At the time, Christensen was young and relatively new to acting, which made him question his chances of landing the part. Little did he know that he would go on to portray Anakin Skywalker and subsequently Darth Vader in multiple Star Wars projects, solidifying his place in the cinematic universe.
Looking back, Christensen recalled the moment he received the call from his agent about the opportunity. 'I was 18, and I got a call from my agent saying that they were casting for Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars, and I thought, 'Wow, how cool.' But it just seemed too big,' he explained. He even asked his agent if there were other roles available, doubting his own suitability for the role of Anakin. However, there were no alternate options, compelling Christensen to toss his name into the ring alongside other hopeful actors.
