The biggest noise immediately after one of the all-time greatest AFL games was the booing, which was venal in its fury.

Hawthorn players James Sicily, Tom Barrass and Jack Ginnivan had angry words with the umpires, who then had bottles thrown at them from Hawks fans as they left the MCG on Saturday night.
