A major UK holiday parks operator is investing £170million in its homes and creating 500 permanent new jobs in the process.
Haven has announced it will pump millions of pounds into a number of its parks across the UK, adding new homes and expanding activities and entertainment facilities.
This will include marina bars, stages and state-of-the-art adventure villages, complete with aerial adventure courses and a six-metre free-fall experience onto an airbag.
Allhallows in Kent, Quay West in South Wales, Thorpe Park in Lincolnshire and Skegness in Lincolnshire will all enjoy major upgrades.
The Skegness park opened last month and is the first new Haven location to open its doors in over six years.
All these parks will enjoy new facilities including state of the art adventure villages, as well as marina bars and stages.
Further parks across Haven’s portfolio will see smaller upgrades to existing entertainment facilities and activities including those at Weymouth Bay, Hopton, Craig Tara and Devon Cliffs.
The company says that it's going through a boom period at the moment, with huge demand for cheap staycation breaks.
Its December sales increased by more than 40% compared to the previous year.
Haven says the multi-million-pound investment should help it welcome more than three million guests and 25,000 holiday home owners to its parks in 2023.
Haven was bought by asset management firm Blackstone in 2021 and has invested £230million in its parks since then, it claims.
The firm says its latest investment will lead to 7,000 new seasonal and 500 permanent jobs across its 41 parks for the year.
Simon Palethorpe, managing director at Haven said: “This investment of over £170 million builds on the £230 million we have spent between 2021 and 2022 to improve our parks and we’re thrilled to be rolling out new entertainment facilities across Haven parks in 2023 as a result.
"With the continued demand for family staycations, the Adventure Villages and Marina Bar & Stages are a great addition to our offer, providing even more fun for guests and owners at incredible value”.
Haven owns and operate 41 family holiday parks throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
The company is currently offering a number of cut price breaks for this summer, including a four person caravan for four days for just £89 at the Orchards park in Essex.
