In the US, rescue efforts remain underway after a major bridge in Baltimore, Maryland collapsed early on Tuesday. At least seven vehicles are believed to have fallen in the water.
A container ship collided with the Francis Scott Bridge on the Patapsco River causing the bridge to snap. A video posted on X appeared to show the vessel striking one of the bridge’s central supports, causing much of the 2.6km bridge to give way.
