Update April 18, 2025: After publishing this article, Google representatives reached out to me for further troubleshooting. They found that "the issue was caused by having simultaneous subscriptions on the YouTube side," a problem the company is aware of. Google says that Gemini and Google One trails do not include YouTube Premium at all, so the trial I accepted for Gemini Advanced is separate from the problem I had on YouTube.
