Haryana: Police personal thrash youth brutally in Jind, enquiry initiated

JIND: Police officials initiated departmental enquiry after a video of police personnel deputed at dial 112 vehicle went viral on social media platforms in which they are seen brutally canning a youth in Haryana's Jind district.

All three police personnel are seen thrashing badly a youth identified as Manjeet, a native of Karmgarh village of Narwana town in Jind district. In the video, it can be seen that police personnel are abusing him besides canning and thrashing while putting him in a police vehicle. In the video, the youth was crying badly and requesting police personnel with folded hands but they didn't listen to his plea and continued thrashing until a few passerby intervened into the matter and captured the video as well.

Notably, Haryana CM Manohar Lal set up the Dial-112 Emergency Response System which was launched on July 12, 2021 with the aim of providing immediate help to the citizens of Haryana in times of emergency.
