Haryana: Convict in Jat quota stir, 4 others shot at in Hansi

HISAR: Roghi Khap youth president and a convict in Jat reservation agitation was among five persons injured when a group of assailants opened fire on them under a flyover in Hansi town on Thursday evening. Preliminary investigations reveal that the attackers fired around 15 rounds.

Daljit Sihag, a resident of Sisai village in the district, was out on parole and was to go back to jail on May 7, said sources. Others who were injured have been identified as Deepak, a resident of Chirod village, Amit from Kheri Jalab village, Deepak from Khedar village and Rakesh from Kalwas village in Churu district of Rajasthan.

Daljit said they were travelling from Sisai village towards Hansi when a vehicle came in front of his car near the Sainipura turn flyover and the occupants opened fire. He identified the accused as Sunil, a resident of Panghal village, Chhotu, a resident of Bank Colony in Hisar, and three-four other youths. After the attack, he brought his car to the Anaj Mandi police post, he said.

They were taken to Hansi general hospital, where they were administered first aid. From there, all the five injured were taken to private hospitals in Hisar for treatment and are admitted there.
