Harvard President Claudine Gay receives support amidst plagiarism allegations

Faculty members discussed recent problems at Harvard during a meeting called by the Harvard Corporation.

Harvard University has found itself under the spotlight recently due to a series of controversies surrounding its President, Claudine Gay. Calls for her resignation have been growing amidst allegations of mishandling anti-Semitism on campus and even plagiarism. Although the removal of President Gay was not discussed during a recent meeting between faculty members and the Harvard Corporation, the governing body of the university, the controversy surrounding her continues to reverberate.

Despite the criticism, there are those who staunchly support President Gay. One such supporter is Noah, a recent graduate of Harvard who will be returning for law school. Noah describes President Gay as an exceptional scholar, a great leader, and a person of high character. Having worked closely with her during their tenure as president of the student body, Noah fully stands behind her, pointing out that she played a pivotal role in leading Harvard through the challenges posed by the pandemic.
