Hartcliffe dog incident: Police confirm two men required hospital treatment

Police have confirmed that two men have required hospital treatment after being injured by two dogs in the Hartcliffe area today.

Avon and Somerset Police have issued more information about the incident which began at around 10:50am this morning. Police say that officers on patrol were flagged down by two males in Bishport Avenue at around that time and reported being wounded by two dogs.

In a Facebook post on Sunday evening, police said: "Officers have this evening seized two dogs believed to have been involved in an incident in the Hartcliffe area of Bristol where two men were attacked and injured earlier today.

"One man has also been arrested in connection with what happened.

"We'd like to once again thank the public for their patience while we dealt with this incident and also are grateful to everyone who called in with information throughout the day."

Police earlier asked anyone with information to call 101 and give reference number 5222090677.
