Joe Hart has sent Giorgos Giakoumakis a 'with you all the way' message as a host of Celtic stars posted farewells to the hitman.
The Hoops and Atlanta United confirmed the transfer to take the striker to the MLS last night as he begins a new chapter in his career following 18 months in Glasgow. Ange Postecoglou swooped to bring him in from VVV-Venlo and after an adjustment period he hit top form by netting 17 goals in his first season. Minutes had been harder to come by this term with in-form Kyogo Furuhashi the undisputed first choice pick but he still managed nine goals this campaign - including a Champions League strike.
His time at Parkhead has now come to an end and as he sent an emotional goodbye message online - a host of his team-mates chipped in to give messages of support and even some advice for his next move. He wrote: "It was an incredible journey! I loved and was loved by the incomparable, amazing Celtic fans! Thank you very much! You will forever be in my heart and mind!
