New research has shown that those clubs suffering relegation from the Premier League have the odds stacked against them when it comes to their chances of an immediate return. That number-crunching, undertaken by Mirror Football , shows that only a quarter of teams relegated from the Premier League bounce back at the first time of asking.

Norwich City's yo-yo existence of recent years has continued this season with the Canaries' latest relegation being confirmed after defeat to Aston Villa last Saturday.
