Harry Styles wows 180,000 at concert - but his mum reveals she's still his biggest fan

He wowed 180,000 ecstatic concert-goers at Wembley Stadium over two nights at the weekend.

But Harry Styles ’ biggest fan is still very much his mum.

Reflecting on her son’s biggest two shows of his career to date, proud Anne Twist wrote online: “When I thought you couldn’t get better .. and I couldn’t be prouder .. you blew me away tonight.”

Mum Anne, 54, who has 2.6million Instagram followers, joined son Harry on the latest leg of his UK tour in London, on Saturday night, along with Harry’s sister Gemma.

Harry also played the venue last night (Sunday)

Speaking on stage, Harry referenced his sister, who played a key part earlier on his career .

“I’m from just outside Manchester, but 12 years ago my sister brought me to London for the first time, to bootcamp for the X Factor, and I’ve lived in London since,” he said. “In a lot of ways this is very much home for me, so thank you for coming.”

Mum Anne regularly posts online about her son, and has been a regular fixture on tour, attending his shows in Manchester, as well as in the US.

She was also in the audience at his warm-up Brixton Academy show in London, where Harry joked about singing about risqué subjects in new track Keep Driving with his mum present.

“I never thought I’d say ‘cocaine’ and ‘side boob’ with my mother in the audience,” he joked.

Undeterred, she later called the show an “amazing... proud Mama evening”.

She recently told how proud she was by Harry’s decision to wear a dress on the cover of US Vogue, which earned plaudits around the world.

“I think maybe I had something to do with it,” Anne said.

“I was always a big fan of doing fancy dress with them when they were smaller, which [Harry’s sister] Gemma always hated but Harry always embraced.”

She added: “But who doesn’t love playing dress-up.”

Harry Styles: Love On Tour takes in 32 cities. His British and European live shows were postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid.

Harry last night said of the show: “Wembley, last night was one of my favourite shows we’ve ever played. I don’t know where to begin thanking you, I’m completely overwhelmed. I’m so grateful, I’m so happy.”
