Harry Styles has poked fun at the ongoing rumours surrounding himself and Don't Worry Darling co-star, Chris Pine.
The former One Direction singer, 28, has been the subject of online debate in recent days following the movie's controversial conference at the Venice Film Festival earlier this week.
As videos of the conference started to circulate online, eagle-eyed fans of the Watermelon Sugar singer became convinced that he 'spat' on co-star Chris, 42, before sitting down to join the rest of the cast.
As Harry took his seat, fans were convinced that he jokingly spat on his co-star after Chris' expression immediately changed as he smirked while looking down at his lap - with fans insisting on TikTok that Chris' expression looked as though he had 'had enough' of the Don't Worry Darling drama.
Despite soaring speculation about a rift between Harry and Chris, both parties have now denied that any spitting took place at the conference.
Following strenuous denial from Chris' team, Harry has now made a joke about the incident as he returned to his Madison Square Garden gigs.
While he was welcomed back on stage by his adoring fans, Harry cheekily quipped: "It's wonderful to be back in New York. I just popped very quickly to Venice to spit on Chris Pine."
His comment was met with screams of adulation from his adoring crowd before he added with a smile: "But we're back!"
The chart-topping singer caused an incredible frenzy on Monday when footage seemed to show him spit on the actor.
However, the allegations were quickly shot down by Chris' representative who hit out at the rumour mill.
The furious statement read: "This is a ridiculous story - a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation.
"Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine.
"There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist."
