Pop megastar Harry Styles wowed Cardiff on Tuesday night during his first of two huge gigs at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. But while the Golden star had the crowd in the palm of his hand, one audience member had Mr Styles' full attention as he stalled the entire show so she could go to the toilet.
During the show, the former One Direction star singled out an expectant couple named Sian and Elliot from the crowd who had thrown a cup at him with "name our baby" written on it. And while he asked the tens of thousands strong audience to help him consider his options - Stevie, Harley, Rafe and Caleb - he stalled the performance to give pregnant Sian a quick toilet break.
It was clear the crowd preferred Stevie as it got by far the loudest cheer of the options. These were not the only wholesome fan interactions as he helped one woman come out, and told another she looked "fantastic".
As he took a break from the music to read signs he shared with the crowd from a girl named Alicia which read "Harry I'm gay help me come out." To which he said: "Alicia I think you've just done it," Styles said, before wrapping himself in a pride flag. He also adorned himself in the Welsh flag for much of the show.
Tuesday's show was the first time Harry had performed in Cardiff since his old band days and his fans made more than enough effort to welcome him back to Wales with some even camping out on pavements for days ahead of the gig. As well as the tents, there was also a massive queue along the Wood Street bridge outside the Principality Stadium plaza on Monday morning as fans waited for the merchandise trucks to open for business.
Cardiff, as always, was busy on the first day of the Love on Tour run and will be similar on the second (Wednesday, June 21) . There's a full city centre road closure in place on the dates of both concerts and buses will be diverted. The road closures come into place from 12 noon rather than the usual 4pm, and some roads will close as early as 7am.
Fans of the singer will once again likely take over the Welsh capital on Wednesday for the last UK date of the mega world tour which has run since 2021. You can find live updates on that here.
