A Harry Styles merchandise van has been stolen by armed men on a highway in Brazil ahead of three of the British singer’s concerts.
The driver of the van, filled with merch for the pop sensation’s world tour, was travelling towards the city of Curitiba, in the south of the country on Friday when they were stopped by three armed men who took the van, local media G1 reports.
The incident happened a day before Styles, 28, was due to perform in Curitiba as part of his ‘Love On Tour’, which includes three concerts in Brazil.
The stolen van, owned by Live Nation, was carrying merchandising items such as t-shirts and souvenirs, which were to go on sale to concertgoers on Saturday in Curitiba, a show producer reportedly told G1.
The truck did not have instruments inside and was was not part of the touring party.
Styles will perform in São Paulo on December 12 and 13. His ‘Love On’ tour includes 84 shows in 22 countries.
Initially, the shows in Brazil were scheduled to take place in October 2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic caused the tour to be suspended.
The star’s second concert tour follows the release of his second and third studio albums. Fine Line was released on December 13, 2019 and Harry’s House was released on May 20, 2022, for which he has received international acclaim.
His track As It Was topped Billboard’s top 100 chart for over 15 weeks meanwhile the album, Harry’s House, went to number one in the US and UK as well as numerous other countries, including Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and Sweden.
He has been touring worldwide for over a year - his Love On Tour tour started in September 2021 and will end in July 2023.
