Harry Styles is making a brief career U-turn in order to read a Bedtime Story on CBeebies, and fans of the hunky singer are ecstatic.
Known for shooting to fame in boyband One Direction before headlining Coachella as a solo artist, Harry is the latest celeb to take on the challenge of reading a Bedtime Story the nation’s children.
When the news broke on the BBC's press office Twitter account, fans of the hunky 28-year-old heartthrob were quick to swoon in excitement.
"I PHYSICALLY CANNOT COPE WITH THIS INFORMATION. MY FAVOURITE PERSON ON MY FAVOURITE CHILDHOOD SHOW ON MY BIRTHDAY WHAT THE F**K," gushed one.
Another said: "He’s really bringing appeal to ALL of the family now, even the babies."
While a third joked: "I suddenly need to be read to at night to fall asleep."
And a fourth penned: "Harry’s doing bedtime stories!?! That’s so freaking cute."
Monday, May 23 will see Harry slip into a pair of pyjamas to read the story: In Every House, on Every Street which is written by Jess Hitchman and illustrated by Lili la Baleine.
The story is a heartwarming celebration of homes and the different families that live in them.
When introducing the story on the channel he says: "Tonight’s bedtime story is about a house full of love and laughter."
Readers of CBeebies Bedtime Stories in the past year have included Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cambridge and Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose Ayling-Ellis who signed her story in British Sign Language.
This comes as Harry gears up for the release of his new album Harry's House on May 20 – three days before his Cbeebies Bedtime Story episode airs.
The 13 songs on his upcoming album are said to be his most personal, intimate and controversial.
He recently released the full track-list, which is as follows:
