Dejan Kulusevski has had a fine start to the Premier League season. The 22-year-old grabbed an assist and a goal in Tottenham's 4-1 over Southampton on Saturday and was a constant threat down the right.
Since the former Juventus man's arrival in N17 eight months ago his impact has exceeded all expectations. In just 18 Premier League features last season, the Swedish international scored five goals and registered eight assists.
It's clear Kulusevski has thrived in London since arriving in January, and he is part of a devastating front three which includes Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. In the 4-1 victory against the Saints, Kulusevski had two shots, produced three key passes, made four tackles and had 92.3 per cent passing accuracy.

And his performance was widely praised after the game, with former Arsenal man Ian Wright describing the Swede as having an "unbelievable impact". Speaking on Match of the Day on Saturday night, Wright said: "If I was a Tottenham fan at the moment, I would be feeling happy with the new signings because we've got a player that at 22, listening to these managers talking about how humble he is and that he wants to learn, it's fantastic."
Former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp appears to agree with Wright, selecting Kulusevski in his first Premier League Team of the Week of the 2022-23 season. Speaking to BetVictor, Redknapp said: "Dejan Kulusevski. Now, let me tell you, this lad can play.
"I don't think he wasted one ball on Saturday, a constant threat down the right-hand side. He's got an assured touch and always looks confident. He was the best player on the pitch at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and took his goal beautifully. He'll be in my Team of the Week a lot this season, that's for sure."
To cap off a wonderful weekend for Tottenham and Kulusevski, former Newcastle striker and the Premier League's all-time top goalscorer Alan Shearer also named the youngster in his Premier League Team of the Week. Spurs fans will now be hoping the Swede carries this form into Tottenham's next match against London rivals Chelsea on Sunday, August 14.
