Harry Potter superfans left feeling 'robbed' after discovering deleted Draco Malfoy scene

Harry Potter fans were left feeling swindled after they discovered a long-forgotten deleted scene where villain-turned-good-guy Draco Malfoy helped Hogwarts prisoners escape for the all-important final battle.

After TikTok user @siriusly_hazzz shared the deleted scene on their account, fans went crazy for the Draco Malfoy redemption arc - as many believe he was a misunderstood hero in the series, reports Tyla.

In the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II, Draco can be seen down in the dungeons of Hogwarts before the ultimate battle between the Death Eaters and the school-goers.

All of the Slytherin students had been subjected to imprisonment due to the houses links to He Who Must Not Be Named and the Death Eater crowd - but Draco, a Slytherin himself, looked like he was the one behind their freeing.

After yet another scene where Draco seemed to be on Harry's side, fans of the franchise reacted in the TikTok comments, with one writing: "We needed more draco scenes…we were ROBBED."

Another wrote: "Why do all the draco redemption scenes get deleted."

And a third said: "I SCREAMED!"

More comments read: "WE WERE ROBBED Draco had so many redeeming qualities in the last movies and they did NOTHING for him."

However, not everyone was of the same opinion, as many fans argued that this scene was actually in the film already.

One confused TikTok user said: "Am I the only one who has seen this in the movie?"

Another said: ""Idk if it’s just me but I remember watching it and this scene being in the movie. did I watch the extended one?"

And a third said: "oh this wasn’t a deleted scene it was in my movie."

A fourth added: "Same lol mine has all of the deleted scenes and I didn't know they were deleted until recently."

The theory that many Potterheads are going with is due to the Slytherin students imprisonment not actually being in the book, then the producers decided to cut out Draco's heroic gesture.

In the original book, the students of the Slytherin house were actually evacuated from Hogwarts, as they refused to fight on behalf of the school.

So, if you are one of the lucky holders of the extended cut of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II, then you can watch this Draco redemption scene 'til your heart is content!
