Harry Potter star Afshan Azad-Kazi has announced she is pregnant with her second child.
The 36-year-old Manchester-born actress, who played the character Padma Patil in the hit wizarding film franchise based on the books by JK Rowling, took to Instagram to share her exciting news.
Uploading an adorable picture of her daughter Kyra placing her hands on her growing bump, she asked her followers to “Keep me and my family in your prayers”.
Her former co-stars, friends and fans rushed to offer their congratulations in the comments section.
Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood was among the first to respond, writing: "Aww congrats Afshan!" while Scarlett Hefner, who starred as Slytherin student Pansy Parkinson, simply posted a white love heart emoji.
Ginny Weasley actress Bonnie Wright told her: "Love you,” while Jessie Cave, who portrayed Lavender Brown, posted a series of applause emojis.
After her Harry Potter stint came to an end, Azad-Kazi guest presented an episode of CBBC series Marrying Mum & Dad in 2017 and has since made a name for herself as a beauty influencer.
She married husband Nabil Kazi in an extravagant ceremony in 2018 and they welcomed their first child together in 2021.
Reflecting on her time in Harry Potter, she told the Deccan Chronicle: "It’s such an honour for people to still appreciate and recognise me as Padma.
"Being a part of something so magical and successful has been the biggest blessing in my life. Harry Potter fans are the best fans; they’re so loyal and always supportive of everything we do."
