Harry McKirdy says he was always confident that his move to Hibs would get over the line on a dramatic deadline day.
The forward made his debut at Easter Road during Saturday's 1-0 Premiership win against Kilmarnock as a substitute after signing a long-term deal with manager Lee Johnson's team on the transfer window's final day from Swindon Town. It was announced in the early hours of Friday morning after the deal was said to be on, off, and then back in the works.
While the ordeal proved a stressful one for the attacker, he says that his thoughts were of confidence in Hibs and his former employers getting something sorted. He said: "It was that hectic for me. It was more the people actually involved. I didn’t really know what was going on, I just hoped it would go through. And it did. So I’m happy to be here, looking forward to a full week of training and settling in.

"It might have crossed my mind, that it could fall through, but I was confident that everyone would agree – because everyone wanted the same thing.
“Hibs wanted me to come in and Swindon wanted to cash in on me, so I felt it would get done. It’s been a long week.
"So it was nice just to be out there playing. The reception I got from the fans was brilliant. They’ve been good with me since it looked like I was signing."
