Here are the Manchester United evening headlines on Sunday, December 11.
Maguire criticises poor World Cup referee
Harry Maguire says he is in disbelief about "how badly" the referee performed in England's heart-breaking World Cup defeat by France. England lost 2-1 in the quarter-finals with captain Harry Kane blazing a late penalty over the bar after converting a spot-kick earlier in the match.
United defender Maguire, 29, went close himself in the second half, his header grazing the upright with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris sprawling. He felt aggrieved that France's first goal had not been ruled out by referee Wilton Sampaio after Bukayo Saka's claim for a foul in the build-up to Aurelien Tchouameni's opener.

Not long after, Kane was brought down by Dayot Upamecano on the edge of the area, with protests being waved away by officials.

Rashford and Mbappe interact on Instagram after France beat England
France superstar Kylian Mbappe showed his softer side by responding to a heartfelt message posted by Marcus Rashford after England suffered another gut-wrenching World Cup elimination.
Mbappe, 23, has netted five goals in as many appearances at the Qatar showcase as holders France remain odds-on favourites to retain their crown after edging past England at the Al-Bayt Stadium on Saturday night. It was tough to take for Rashford and his teammates with Harry Kane missing a decisive penalty at the death.
Kane had earlier given England hope from the spot, but goals from Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud secured France's progression as Les Bleus move on to surprise package Morocco in the last four. Mbappe was kept relatively quiet by England despite his glittering form, but he did attract some on-field attention.
